Elegibility Requirements

The solar and utility industries are growing rapidly and offer stable, well-paying careers with long-term opportunities. By joining this program, you’ll gain the skills and experience needed to enter a field that not only provides steady employment but also contributes to a cleaner, more sustainable future. To be considered for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Valid California Driver’s License

  • San Diego Resident

  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Check

  • Must pass a 5-Panel Drug Test

Benefits

Our signature program is a 6-week, 224-hour pre-apprenticeship that prepares San Diego residents ages 18+ for careers in the utility industry. Each cohort brings together 20 candidates committed to growth and success.

Participants receive:

  • A weeklong bootcamp and hands-on technical training

  • OSHA and First Aid/CPR certifications

  • Resume building and workplace communication workshops

  • Personal development and career readiness support

To ensure accessibility, we remove financial barriers by providing a weekly per-hour stipend, along with daily breakfast and lunch. Each participant is also paired with a dedicated mentor who provides guidance throughout the program.
